Amil C. Johnson
Amil Johnson earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Morehouse College. He is originally from Augusta, Georgia. Before entering private practice, Amil served for several years as an Assistant County Attorney for the DeKalb County Law Department and later the Fulton County Attorney’s Office. He successfully represented the county and its employees against civil claims including contract litigation, employment matters, and tax disputes.
As an attorney with RS Johnson Legal, P.C., Amil has specially dedicated himself to helping debtors repair their credit, restore their lively hood and bounce back through Bankruptcy. He has successfully represented numerous clients in the Northern District of Georgia Bankruptcy Court in Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies. He has also defended proposed debtors in garnishment and creditor collections suits. His knowledge of the Federal Bankruptcy laws and the Georgia Bankruptcy process combined with his approach to problem solving and compassion for people have been unique benefits to our clients.
In addition to his many accomplishments, Amil has successfully defended clients against criminal prosecutions throughout the metropolitan Atlanta area and the State of Georgia. He is a skilled litigator and defender in criminal cases, having successfully defended clients from the bond-hearing phase through jury trials. Amil has helped clients navigate divorce, child support and custody disputes. He has also helped clients recover favorable personal injury settlements. Amil currently serves as outside counsel for the Fulton County Attorney’s Office representing Fulton County in civil litigation matters. He previously served as outside counsel for the City of Atlanta / Fulton County Land Bank Authority in property dispute matters. He and his wife have a daughter and twin sons. They are members of Providence Baptist Church in College Park.
Rhea S. Johnson
Rhea Johnson earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center of Louisiana State University. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Georgia Southern University. She is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. She previously practiced with Stumpe & Associates, P.C. where she handled personal injury cases, represented alcohol licensees and small businesses owners in civil litigation. Later she began working to successfully defend against felony criminal charges in the Fulton County Superior Court. She also passionately represented children against criminal offenses in the Fulton County Juvenile Court System.
As an Attorney with RS Johnson Legal, P.C., Rhea has represented numerous clients in the Northern District of Georgia Bankruptcy Court in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases. She has gained praise for carefully counseling debtors with a crafty approach to feasibility and long term planning and arming them with knowing their rights against from unfair debt collection practices.
She also continues to zealously defend clients against criminal prosecutions in metro Atlanta counties representing adults and juveniles against misdemeanor and felony offenses through trial. Rhea is admitted to practice in the Northern District of Georgia, Southern District of Georgia and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Rhea is currently a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and serves on the Board of Directors for the Read Foundation and the Achieve, Strive and Believe, LLC. Both organizations serve to improve the lives and education of children in lower economic families. Rhea is a mother of 3 and is a member of the Providence Baptist Church of College Park, Georgia.
